    SOCIAL SECURITY TIMING Choosing when to elect your Social Security benefits can be one of the most important decisions as you approach retirement. During this educational workshop, you will learn the influence of timing strategies on tax liability and overall benefit values. We will discuss spousal benefits, as well as widow, divorced and single claiming concepts. Additionally, we will illustrate how implementing social security timing in the context of your retirement planning is paramount in creating a successful retirement plan.

    Norwalk Knights instructional chess program returns, sponsored by the Library and the Connecticut State Chess Association, featuring National Master and former Knight Ian Harris of RedBandit Chess as instructor. Program is for players K-12, beginners welcome. Program will include age and skill appropriate group lessons on strategy, including chess basics, supervised practice play and other instructional and fun chess activities. Program will meet once per week on Thursdays, 6-7 PM. Registration is required.
