Hosted by the Norwalk Public Library and supported by the Consulate of Ecuador in Connecticut; Live coverage by Maricarmen, the local newscast of La Voz Hispana de Connecticut, and Communities Without Borders CSF-CT, invite the public to the awards ceremony: "Outstanding Ecuadorians of Norwalk and to the Bicentennial and First Cry of Independence of Ecuador Concert, to be held on Saturday, August 13 from 3:00 to 4:00PM, at the Norwalk Public Library (One Belden Avenue, Norwalk CT).
The Bicentennial Concert will be graced by the presence, directly from Ecuador, of the outstanding pianist and composer Paco Godoy and the award-winning singer-songwriter Carlos Grijalva, who will offer a repertoire of songs that foster the collective memory of Latin Americans in the Diaspora.
